Can I drop my project off?

Yes, our shop is open to the public by appointment only because we’re a firefighter/retired law enforcement officer run company and work around a firefighter's work schedule (24 hours at the fire station and 48 hours at the work shop). The shop is always closed on Sundays. Please contact us by email to set up an appointment at cerakote@kilodeltatactical.com or call (813)816-1570.*

* If no there is no answer when you call, we might be working at the fire station and unable to answer. Please try again.

Can I ship my project to you?

Yes, you may ship to Kilo Delta because we are a licensed FFL/SOT dealer. The shipping of serialized and non-serialized parts can be handled through us. If you would like a copy of our FFL for your records, please email the request to cerakote@kilodeltatactical.com. Our FFL number is 1-59-xxx-xx-xx-32273. When shipping a serialized firearm to us, please provide a copy of your government issued ID (drivers license) with your current address. We are required to return your weapon to the address provided on your government issued ID. For non-serialized parts ship to us, we can ship them back to anyone or anywhere you specify. It is required by law that a person that does not possess a valid FFL, must ship handguns by 2nd day air with a contract carrier (UPS, FEDEX, etc.). Long guns can be shipped with ground service by the USPS or a contract carrier.

How do I ship my project to you?

Basic guidelines for shipping firearms:

  • Handguns must be shipped 2nd day air by a contract carrier. Please do not use your local post office.

  • Long guns and non-serialized parts can be shipped by ground service. USPS is the cheapest.

  • Please use either carrier pickup or take it directly to a service center, it will save you money and it is much more reliable than your local pack and ship center.

  • Please buy insurance for the full value of your items. Insurance is cheap, firearms are not and please note on your work order how much insurance you would like placed on your return shipment.

  • Declare that you are shipping an unloaded firearm for repairs. They should give you no trouble, it is perfectly legal.

  • MAKE SURE YOUR FIREARM IS UNLOADED!!!

  • Do not ship any ammo with your firearms.

  • Make sure your firearms and parts are packed well with sufficient cushioning for the journey.

  • Please include an itemized packing list of everything that you send us. We cannot be held responsible for anything that is not documented.

  • When ready to ship, please print and fill out our work order form and send your items to:

    Kilo Delta Tactical
    17529 Marsh Rd
    Lutz, FL 33558

Do you offer a Military and First Responder discount?

Yes! We offer 10% off of any Cerakote work. A copy of your military ID, departmental credentials or your DD214 will be needed for the discount.

How is Payment Handled?

  • Payment for products from our webstore is handled through our checkout, you must use a credit card to complete your purchase.

  • You can complete your transaction in our webstore and send a copy of your receipt and work order in with your project.

  • You can send a check or money order in with your parts to be worked on.

  • No matter what method you choose, all projects must be paid in full before it will be returned to you.

What kind of turnaround time should I expect?

Our turnaround time varies on the current workload in the shop. Also keep in mind that since the shop operates around a firefighters schedule, there can be unforeseen delays. Most single color jobs can be completed in 2 to 4 weeks, more complicated camo patterns and theme jobs average around 6 to 8 weeks. Also keep in mind that you send a weapon completely disassembled (not field strip for cleaning, but completely disassembled) this can speed up the turn around time and save you the disassembly/reassembly charge.

What kind of warranty or guarantee do you offer, and what is your return policy?

If your firearm finish ever cracks, peels, chips, or breaks as a result of our workmanship, we will repair, replace, or refinish it at no cost to you, to and from shipping included. We cannot cover excessive wear from normal use (i.e. holster marks, blemishes from dropping or abuse, etc.). We also cannot warranty guns that are used in a police or military application. Our return policy is that if you are unhappy with our work, or with any products you receive from us, please feel free to contact us, and we will correct the issue right away.

How do I maintain my newly finished firearm?

We suggest you treat Cerakoted firearms as you would any other firearm. Cerakote is impervious to all solvent, lubricants, and other products designed for use on firearms. Cerakote is TOUGH, as long as you don't drop it in a vat of acid or leave it in the ocean for a couple years, it will be fine.

What parts can be coated with Cerakote?

Any part of a weapon not made of rubber can be coated. However, we do not coat critical components (i.e. sears, safeties, triggers, disconnectors, etc.), aftermarket match triggers, springs, inside of barrels or chambers. Some springs that are attached permanently to a gun must sometimes be coated. In these instances these spring will be coated, but we will not coat anything that will affect the function of your firearm.

When can I use my newly finished firearm?

As soon as you receive them back from us. All of our finishes are fully cured when they are shipped back to you.
